[ 01. OVERVIEW ]
A simple checkout for a complex service.
We redesigned the “Purchase a shipment” area with an end-to-end approach: from the entry page to payment and confirmation. The value was transforming a technical process full of variables—package dimensions, delivery options, additional services—into a guided, mobile-first and accessible flow. Each step was designed to reduce doubts, simplify choices and deliver the feeling of a reliable service consistent with the GLS brand.
[ 02. DIGITAL EXPERIENCE ]
A wizard that guides without complicating.
We rethought the “Purchase a shipment” area by transforming a technical process full of variables (package dimensions, delivery options, additional services) into a linear, mobile-first and accessible flow. From first entry to confirmation, each step reduces doubts and simplifies choices, delivering the feeling of a reliable service consistent with the GLS brand.
The initial page welcomes the user with clear CTAs, micro-FAQs and a preview of the steps, immediately clarifying the path. The heart of the project is the step-by-step wizard, which breaks complexity into clear phases: package configuration, choice of pickup/delivery methods (including parcel shop locator), addition of accessory services, summary and payment. Real-time validations, progressive disclosure and clear messages make shipping understandable even for those who ship rarely.
[ 03. UX/UI PROTOTYPING ]
Design system GLS, consistency
and accessibility.
The interface was designed on the GLS design system, with colors, typographies and modular components (forms, buttons, steppers, toasts) optimized for mobile and compliant with WCAG 2.1 AA standards. This ensures visual consistency, certified accessibility and scalable development.
For development we delivered navigable prototypes in Figma, complete with redlines, exportable assets and documentation on interactive states. The handoff was supported by QA checklists for usability and visual regressions, reducing misunderstandings and accelerating release cycles. In this way, the transition from design to code kept the design value intact, ensuring a final experience faithful to the concept.
